Tana Cristina LicsandruPhD Candidate, University of Manchester
Tana Licsandru is a first year PhD candidate in Business and Management at the University of Manchester, UK, holding a fully funded research studentship from the same university. Her research focuses on the relationship between marketplace and social inclusion, interethnic relations and multiculturalism. Prior to joining Manchester Business School, Tana completed her Master’s Degree (with distinction) at the University of Sheffield and worked for two years as a marketing specialist in the hospitality industry in Greece. Her academic journey started in Romania, with a Bachelor degree in Communication and Public Relations from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest. Tana strongly believes that drawing on international expertise is a valuable opportunity to change and contribute to Romania’s future. For this reason, she has been an active volunteer in the League of Romanian Students Abroad (LSRS) for more than two years, currently holding the position of Deputy Secretary General.
