Sorin ZaicoviciAssociate, Citigroup

Sorin Zaicovici joined Citigroup in 2011, holding several roles in the Corporate and Investment Banking division and currently covering the Energy and Natural Resources space. Here, he focuses on capital structure optimization, upstream oil & gas structured finance, project finance, tailored reserve based lending solutions, high yield debt and financial advisory services. He is also involved as an industry banker on advisory mandates within the Power, Metal and Mining sectors. He is based in London.

Before joining Citi, Sorin was a teacher assistant for the Department of Finance at Rotterdam School of Management, providing undergraduate corporate finance seminars.

Sorin holds a MSc in Finance and Investments, from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He is interested in environmental sustainability, climate change and renewable and sustainable investments, having written his dissertation thesis on sustainable investment strategies that have outperformed the market during the credit crunch, by combining investors’ financial objectives with their concerns about environmental, social and governance. Sorin also holds a BSc in Economics from the Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
