Monica EnescuResearch Scientist in Medical imaging, DPhil Oxon
Monica Enescu currently holds the position of Research Scientist at Mirada Medical, a company providing medical imaging solutions for cancer care. In 2015, she completed her DPhil in Medical Imaging at the University of Oxford. Her thesis focused on advanced Image Analysis methods with application to cancer treatment planning. She also holds a MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the same university. In addition to her commitment to extend what is known about cancer, Monica is also passionate about education. She has extensive teaching experience, having previously taught both at the University of Oxford and at a number of international summer schools. With this experience, she founded ‘Oxford for Romania’, an annual summer school at Oxford intended for exceptional Romanian high school students who come from under-privileged backgrounds. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, rowing and debating current affairs.
