Romanian pianist Sînziana Mircea performed throughout Europe, as well as in Japan and USA. At the age of 11, she had her first recital in the USA, followed by an American tour at the age of 14 and a tour in Japan at the age of 20. She performed on stages such as Tokyo Metropolitan Theater (conductor Mitsuyoshi Oikawa), St Martin-in-the-Fields London, PepsiCo Recital Hall – Fort Worth, Bucharest Philharmonic, Bechstein Young Professionals Series – Cologne, Holland Music Session Festival – Bergen, Aurora Chamber Music Festival – Sweden, Francophone Festival – Prague, Soller festival – Palma de Mallorca. In June 2014 she received a full scholarship to participate in the PianoTexas International Academy & Festival organized by TCU School of Music and Van Cliburn Foundation in Fort Worth, USA.

Sînziana Mircea is studying with Prof. Boris Petrushansky at Accademia Pianistica Imola, Italy, Triennial Course. She will obtain her Bachelor Degree from “Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Kӧln”, Cologne, Germany in July 2015, class Prof. Sheila Arnold. Starting with September 2015, she will continue her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London as a Postgraduate student on a full tuition scholarship, class Prof. Ronan O’Hora. Along the years she has been under the guidance of Prof. Staffan Scheja, Prof. Christiane Karajev, Prof. Stela Dragulin and Prof. Olga Szel.

Sînziana has played in master classes for renowned musicians such as Aldo Ciccolini, Tamas Ungar, Lydia Artymiw, Peter Donohoe, Veda Kaplinsky, John Perry.

Sînziana’s performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio Romania Muzical and on main radio channels for classical music throughout Europe (Sweden, Norway, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey a/o). In 2015, she was included in the top best Romanian musicians under 30 by Radio Romania Muzical, the national radio channel for classical music in Romania.

Since she was 8, she has garnered numerous awards in international piano competitions, out of which twelve were first places. Sînziana was awarded the “Liszt” and “Münchener Klavierpodium” Prizes by Vienna Young Pianists (2011) and the “Plathner’s Eleven Prize” at the Rotary International Competition in Palma de Mallorca (2012). In 2014, the jury chaired by the President of the Romanian Academy has designated Sînziana Mircea as the Best Romanian Student Abroad in the Art Category, LSRS Gala, Bucharest. Following this prize in the same year, Foreign Policy Romania, division of Washington Post included Sinziana in top 100 Romanians moving the country ahead.
